funding for the Texas Nonprofit Management Assistance Network. During
the last twenty-four years, The Meadows Foundation has been instrumental in
establishing and supporting the work of nonprofit resource centers and
programs.
The SBC

GIVE ACT -
Upcoming Legislation
Nonprofit
organizations depend on volunteers to deliver
their mission to the clients and communities
they serve. Due to high gas prices and
current tax statutes, many organizations are
losing volunteers. The Giving Incentives
to Volunteers Everywhere Act of 2008 (GIVE)
(S3429) has been introduced to alleviate these
issues for volunteers. Go to the Texas
Association of Nonprofit Organizations at
www.tano.org
or the National
Council of Nonprofit Associations' website at
www.ncna.org
to read more about the proposed bill and how you
can support these efforts. As a nonprofit
organization, you can write a letter of support
to your Senator and educate your nonprofit
clients and the public.
